Spy photos of the BMW 2-Series are making their way around the internet. The camo'd car sports some obvious BMW trademarks like L-shaped tail lamps and kidney-shaped grill. The 2 is expected to replace the 1-Series Coupe and will also come in a convertible variant.

Does this name change make room for another vehicle to take over the 1-Series name? BMW i3 1-Series GT
Why replace the 1-series? It is doing much better than BMW thought it would. Why rename it and realign the model names?
